Competitive Team Tryouts

Participation on the competitive team is based on tryouts. We hold try-outs in the Spring, and if your child makes the team, we will notify you. Athletes can’t join the competitive team at any other point during the year. We send out a notification via JackRabbit (our online portal) that all students are registered through, you’ll have plenty of notice before tryouts begin.

  • My daughter has been attending Great Lakes Gymnastics for half a year, she absolutely loves it here. She has been able to build her confidence, meet lots of new friends and is able to see her own results. The environment is friendly and it's affordably priced. We had her at another gymnastics place before great lakes but it lacked structure. Great lakes provides structure for all ages. We have enjoyed our time here. Thanks so much to everyone that's helped our little girl reach new goals.

  • Our daughter is fairly new at GLGC but that hasn't stopped her from making so many new friends. Everyone welcomed her right away making her feel part of the team instantly. The coaching staff are top notch and focused on improving new skills while also perfecting the older skills. She has made so much progress in just a short time, I can't wait to see what she is capable of later next year.

  • Classes are structured, safe and fun! Summer camps are fantastic with great hours and group games. Coaches make kids feel comfortable if they don’t know anyone. My daughter loved it so much she joined the competitive team. Comp coaches are strict but caring.

  • My daughter loves it! She started out shy and unsure about being able to do some of the skills but Megan who has been her coach has always been encouraging and helps her when it’s difficult. They cheer on progress and celebrate victories in each child. Great Lakes Gymnastics is the best for any level! They are very inclusive, kind and friendly! 100% recommend!

  • The class sizes are just right, so every child receives enough attention and instruction from the coaches. All of the coaches seem super positive and supportive. It's a wonderful environment for my daughter to develop her passion and I feel fortunate to have a gymnastics center like this in our community.
